When life changes, so does your skin

When Eddy and Ferdinand founded Areum Labs, she was 38 years old and in the midst of balancing her career, personal aspirations, and the desire for more work-life balance.

Her skin reacted to everything: stress, lack of sleep, hormonal fluctuations.
What she didn't know then was that she was already in perimenopause, that transitional phase where hormone levels change and the skin undergoes its first significant transformation.

Eddy worked in a demanding job, often late into the night. Between Zoom calls and fatigue, she sought a routine that worked, even when time was scarce.
But everything she found felt like a compromise:
Either effective but aggressive, or gentle but ineffective, often formulated with PEGs, microplastics, or allergens like fragrances and essential oils.

Shortly thereafter, she became pregnant and suddenly faced new challenges and the next hormonal change:
Her skin was more sensitive and prone to pigmentation spots. Many products she had used before were suddenly off-limits. There was hardly any skincare that was both effective and safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

From Overwhelm to Vision

That was the moment Eddy decided:
Women need skincare that adapts to their lives – not the other way around.

So, after constant close exchange with gynaecologists, dermatologists, and women who experienced the same, she developed the skincare she couldn't find anywhere else.
That's how Areum Labs was born. Developed from real life with a love for science and the desire to do skincare radically differently.

  • Packaging: Our packaging comes from Germany and Europe to minimize transport routes and ensure the highest standards.
  • CO2 Reduction & Compensation: We rely on climate-neutral shipping with DHL GoGreen and support projects for plastic offsetting.
  • Social Responsibility: Through our cooperation with the Stephanus Foundation, we promote jobs for people with disabilities.
